Divorce Mediation
Sacramento Divorce Lawyers: Mediation, Collaborative Law, ADR

Courtroom battles are not always the best way to resolve family law issues, particularly ones involving a child visitation or custody dispute. After an emotional trial, it can be difficult for parties to be respectful of each other and cooperate for the sake of their children.

At the Louder Law Group, our divorce attorneys offer alternative dispute resolution techniques including divorce mediation and collaborative law divorce. Our goal is to help the opposing parties reach a fair settlement agreement without the emotional and financial burdens of a trial.

Divorce Mediation

In divorce mediation, both parties meet with an independent mediator
who listens to their concerns and helps them work toward an agreement. Attorneys cannot attend the mediation session. Our divorce attorneys thoroughly prepare our clients for their meeting with the mediator. You will know what to expect, what to say and what not to say to the other party or the mediator. After a divorce mediation session, you have the option of accepting an agreement reached with the help of the mediator, or of proceeding to trial.

Collaborative Law

Collaborative law is a form of alternative dispute resolution
that allows both parties and their attorneys to work toward settling disputes without the threat of a trial. While pursuing the collaborative law process, both parties agree not to take the case to court. Collaborative law involves a team approach that may involve attorneys, accountants, financial planners, therapists and other experts who work together and agree to share information.

Some Issues are Non-Negotiable

Sometimes disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation
, collaboration or mediation. Our attorneys always first attempt to settle differences outside of court. However, when a fair settlement cannot be reached without a trial, you can depend on us to fight for your interests in court. Not every family law attorney offers both approaches. If a case involves child sexual abuse, domestic violence or other issues that are non-negotiable, we will move quickly and forcefully to protect you, your children and your best interests.

Sacramento Divorce Mediation

"An attorney is someone who can take the bundle of knots that is a legal problem and untangle every strand. We sort through each issue, consult with the client and determine how we will resolve the case. A good client is as important as a good attorney. Cooperation and dialog are tantamount to a great resolution."
